The dizzying smell of spray paint and marker pen creeps throughout Edinburgh’s national portrait gallery as the team of Scottish artists who make up Rough Cut Nation battle on with the 4 week installation process.

Read all about the show here.

Here’s the latest shots from the install stage – work has begun on every paintable surface and the gallery floor is awash with abandoned spray paint cans and empty paint pots – this is art with an alternative bite.

For a super cool visual treat, check out the time delay video clips of the install here.

And don’t forget to pop along to the Gallery on Friday 7th August from 5pm for the official opening night and celebrate with a bottle of Zeitgeist with us.

Looks like a wicked event.

Throw in the zeitgeist beer too and I am completely sold.

Rock on the 7th of August!
